Blue Book
An ex-cop, an illegal book, and a Brooklyn that plays by its own rules.
Rick LeKashi spent two years in a coma after being left for dead by a group of unknown assailants. He wakes up bigger, stronger, and back on the job, but he's also running an illegal bookmaking operation on the side, with a client list full of cops, firefighters, and city workers who trust him more than they trust the system. He can't wear the badge anymore, but East New York still needs someone watching its back, and Rick has his own way of doing it.

brianI was spellbound and couldn't put it down. If you're from Brooklyn or NYC it will bring back so many memories. A true renaissance book.
JudyGreat job describing East New York and Brighton Beach, with real characters, many that I knew. Easy read and very enjoyable.
